1. Summary
aText2Alfred is a local migration utility. It helps you convert aText snippet libraries (.atext) or simple .csv files into Alfred-compatible .alfredsnippets bundles.
Your snippet data is processed on your Mac. The App does not require an account, does not upload your files to our servers, and does not include analytics or advertising SDKs.
2. Information the App Accesses
The App may access the following data only to provide its core functionality:

The App runs inside the App Sandbox and uses the entitlement user-selected read/write access. It can read and write only the files and folders you explicitly grant through the system file picker or drag-and-drop.
3. What We Do Not Collect
We do not:
- Collect, store, or transmit your snippet text, keywords, or file contents to our servers or any third-party service
- Require registration, login, or a user account
- Use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs
- Access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, location, or browsing history
- Automatically scan folders on your Mac without your explicit file selection
The App does not connect to the internet to perform conversion. All parsing and export operations run locally on your device.
4. Third-Party Products
aText2Alfred is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:
- aText
- Alfred
- Running with Crayons Ltd.
When you import files into Alfred or continue using aText, those products’ own privacy policies apply separately.
5. Data Retention
- In-app session data (parsed snippets shown in the preview) exists only while you use the App and is cleared when you quit or import a new file.
- Exported files are saved only to locations you choose. We do not retain copies.
- System logs generated by macOS may be stored according to your Mac’s logging settings; we do not retrieve them remotely.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Choices
You control what the App processes by choosing which files to open and where to save exports. You may stop using the App at any time and delete exported files from your Mac.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
